that is required to double check the accuracy of the machine work. Granted, not everyone has the instruments needed to measure bore clearances, taper, out-of-round, journal diameters, etc. but it can save you a lot of time and money if you can find a problem BEFORE you blow the engine.
FYI - the engine that was put together in that link never ran right and ended up spinning a rod bearing. The machine shop that did the work was a hack shop that eventually went out of business. Double checking the machine work would have prevented the need for another engine, which is coming from Import Parts Pro.
